Flooring Installation in New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania

process

Our Installation Process

Before any plank goes down, we inspect the subfloor. We check for moisture, soft spots, and uneven areas that would cause problems down the road. This step is what most people don’t see but it’s what determines how the floor performs years later.

Once the subfloor is ready, we choose the installation method based on your flooring type and the conditions of the space:

Nail-down is standard for solid hardwood over wood subfloors. Glue-down works best for engineered hardwood in areas with more moisture exposure, like first floors over concrete. Floating installation offers more flexibility and also reduces sound between floors.

After installation we handle transitions, thresholds, and baseboards so the finished result looks like it was always there.

Flooring Types We Install

We install hardwood, engineered hardwood, laminate, and vinyl plank. Each material has its place depending on the room, the budget, and how the space gets used day to day.

Solid hardwood is the most durable long-term option and can be sanded and refinished multiple times over its life. Engineered hardwood has a real wood surface but handles humidity and temperature changes better, making it a practical choice for most New Jersey homes. Laminate and vinyl plank are cost-effective alternatives that have improved significantly in quality and appearance over the years.

If you’re not sure which direction to go, we can walk you through the options during the estimate visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a flooring installation take?

Most residential rooms take one to two days. Larger projects or those that need subfloor repair before installation will take longer. We give you a timeline before work starts.

Not always. It depends on what’s there and what you’re installing. We assess it during the estimate visit and let you know what makes sense.

Solid hardwood is a single piece of wood and can be refinished many times. Engineered hardwood has a real wood top layer bonded to a layered core, which makes it more stable in spaces with humidity variation. Both look the same once installed.
